Washington fought back from a 28 point deficit early in the third quarter to make it four point game early in the fourth period, yet, it wasn't enough as the Celtics pulled away late to secure a 116-107 victory.
Brad Beal led the way with a game high 41 points and 8 rebounds while Rui Hachimura added 17 points in a losing effort. Celtics forward Jayson Tatum led Boston with 32 points on 14-27 shooting while Jaylen Brown added a double double with 27 points and 13 rebounds.
Washington falls to 2-7 while Boston improves to 7-3.
