Keep an eye on:

Washington's Starting Backcourt: has to step up, there is no getting around it. In Sundays loss to Chicago, the Mystics backcourt of point guard Natasha Cloud and shooting guard Ariel Atkins combined to shoot 4-18 from the field with Cloud adding four turnovers, which is unusual for her, and allowed the Skys backcourt of Courtney Vandersloot and Allie Quigley to shoot 6-12 from the field combined and only have one turnover between them. With Elena Delle Donne still working her way back from back surgery, Alysha Clark, trying to knock off the rust coming off her knee injury, it puts more emphasis on Washingtons All Star caliber backcourt to perform well game in and game out. Home cooking may be what is needed for both to find their rhythm shooting the ball again.....Stay Tuned.

Candace Parker: has had her way this season against the Mystics, nearly averaging a triple double with 14 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists through two games. To make matters worse, Parker is also shooting 50 percent from the field and 44 percent from 3-point range. I know it's easier said than done to contain one of the greatest players to ever play the game, yet, Washington will have to find a way to do just that. It's too easy for Parker right now and she's the main reason why Chicago is 2-0 against Washington this season. If the Mystics are to be taken serious about making a run this season, these are the games they need to win. It starts and end with slowing down Parker.
