GW Women’s basketball started the McCombs era in ideal fashion by defeating cross town foe American 58-47. The Colonials were led by Grad Student Ty Moore who posted a double double with 18 points and 11 rebounds off the bench. Forward Mayowa Taiwo added 10 points in a winning effort. American senior guard Jade Edwards, who is the Patriot League Preseason Player of the year, led the way with a team high 14 points.
