With fans in the Smith Center for the first time since the 2019-2020 season, George Washington gave those in attendance a nice preview of what the team has to offer in a convincing 93-51 win over Hood College in exhibition play. The Colonials held the smaller Blazers to 30.2 percent shooting from the field, 15.2 percent shooting from 3-point range and forced 17 turnovers.
GW was led by junior guard James Bishop who finished with a game high 22 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds. Junior forward Hunter Dean added a double double with 15 points and 11 rebounds while freshman guard Brayon Freeman and sophomore center Noel Brown contributed 12 points each. Hood College senior point guard Mason Wang led the Blazers with 16 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
