Christian Jones sets career high, leads George Washington to dominant win over Dayton


George Washington's redshirt freshman Christian Jones hits one of his five threes...on the way to a career high 23 points




George Washington's redshirt freshman Christian Jones got the start running the show against A-10 contender Dayton and put on a performance that will be on his personal career highlight reel. Jones finished tied for a game high 23 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists on 7-14 shooting from the field and 5-8 from deep to lead the Revolutionaries, who were without leading scorer Darren Buchanan Jr due to injury, to a convincing 82-62 win over the Flyers.


Jones was sensational in various aspects of the game. He shot the ball with efficiency, provided strong defense to help hold Daytons backcourt to a combined 7 of 28 from the field. Jones wasn't alone. Grad Student Gerald Drumgoole Jr continued his stellar play as of late, scoring 21 points and pulling down 5 rebounds, and Trey Autry was FLAWLESS in the contest, finishing with 17 points and 4 rebounds on 6-6 from the field, 3-3 from three point range and 2-2 from the free thow line, without committing a single turnover.


Nate Santos led Dayton with 23 points, while Zed Key added 10 points and 6 rebounds.
