Evaluation:
Elmore has shown that he can thrive running a pro style offense which is what he runs at Marshall under the guidance of head coach Dan D'Antoni, brother of Houston Rockets head coach Mike D'Antoni. D'Antoni, a former NBA assistant coach implemented an uptempo style at Marshall which allowed Elmore to showcase his all around game. Elmore is highly skilled with the ability to score from all three levels, has adequate court vision and passing ability and isn't afraid to mix it up in the paint for rebounds and on defense. In an upset win over heavily favored fourth seed Wichita State during the NCAA Tournament, Elmore torched the Shockers with 27 points (46% FG/ 50% 3FG), 4 rebounds, 4 assist and 2 steals in a masterful performance. Conference and All American honors should follow along with being a possible draft pick come June.
