2017 P.I.T.S League - ATB Overwhelms Team Don't Matter

ATB guard Troy Dockett rises up for a mid range jumper

Led by a sharp shooting point guard, and a transition game that every team would die for ATB escaped this weekend's game against Team Don't Matter with a hard-fought win. ATB came out of the gates strong behind the inside play of big man Reyes, who began the game like a man on a mission. Team Don't Matter began the game very slow as they could not handle the transition scoring from ATB.

ATB began the second quarter in the same fashion that they started the first. It was as if Team Don't Matter came into the game with no energy and ATB decided to take full advantage of it. Transition basketball and easy buckets was a constant thing in the second quarter until Team Don't Matter finally adjusted to the tempo and speed of ATB. Domo from Team Don't Matter showed a lot of heart as he led the team back into the game with a very impressive solo 8-0 run to end the half, however, ATB was up big 35-17.

The second half began with Team Don't Matter going on a 4-0 run to cut ATB's lead to 35-21. ATB seemed to show some fatigue as they did not begin the 3rd quarter with the same fire and intensity that they began the game with. Team Don't Matter halted ATB's transition scoring and cut the lead to nine behind a Domo three pointer, 35-26. ATB went on a 8-0 run, thanks to two consecutive three pointers from sharp shooting point guard Troy Docket, to extend ATB's lead to 15, 43-28 at the end of the third.

The fourth quarter began with a three pointer from Team Don't Matter guard AJ. ATB quickly responded with a barrage of three pointers that helped them end the game on a ridiculous run as ATB pulled away with a 67-45 win over Team Don't Matter. ATB guard Troy Dockett led all scorers with 22 points.
