Washington Wizards all star point guard John Wall at the line in a playoff battle against the Chicago Bulls
The Washington Wizards announced their seven game 2016 preseason schedule today. The schedule includes three home games at the Verizon Center. Washington will begin their preseason at home on October 4th against the Miami Heat. They next will travel to the city of brotherly love to take on the Philadelphia 76ers featuring top pick Ben Simmons on October 6th, followed by another road game against the rejuvenated New York Knicks, October 10th. Washington will return home to host the Sixers on October 13th and then head to Lexington, Kentucky to face the Sacramento Kings at Rupp Arena. Wizards all star point guard John Wall and Kings all star center DeMarcus Cousins were both Kentucky teammates during the 09-10 season, leading the Wildcats to a 35-3 record and the Elite 8. The Wizards will close out preseason play October 18th against the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers in Columbus, Ohio and in their final preseason game, Washington will host the Toronto Raptors on October 21st.
