Unless you have been living under a rock, its a consensus that the point guard position is the deepest position in the NBA by far. Every night, you are going against an elite talent that can single handedly defeat your team. What happens when you get both point guards competing against one another and both are playing at the top of their respective games? It becomes an instant classic! Well those in attendance to watch the Denver Nuggets take on the Portland Trail Blazers were treated to a classic point guard battle. The Nuggets blur Ty Lawson and the Trail Blazers versatile Damian Lillard were involved in a battle that will be talked about for a long time. Lawson would torch the Trail Blazers with 32 points (11-17 FG) 6 assist and 3 rebounds, winning the battle, however Lillard who finished with 27 points (10-16 FG) 9 assist and 5 rebounds would win the war, as the Trail Blazers soundly defeated the Nuggets 130-113.
