The NBA is full of emerging talented young teams, all with a chance to make a permanent mark in the present and future of the NBA. At the core of a number of those teams are deadly backcourts. You have here in the nations capital John Wall and Brad Beal, fresh off leading the Wizards back to the playoffs in a number of years. You also have Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli(even though Ginobli doesnt start he plays the majority of the minutes and finishes games), Steph Curry and Klay Thompson for Golden State, Kyle Lowry and Demar Derozan in Toronto, Deron Williams and Joe Johnson for Brooklyn, Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe in Phoenix I mean the list can go on. During media day across the NBA, the Wizards third year shooting guard Brad Beal told reporters he felt him and John Wall were the best backcourt in the NBA. You can argue either yay or nay, but the facts of production and winning from last season more then moves the needle towards that statement being very accurate. Still its not 100% accurate....yet. Well, that statement got around the league and as the majority of the players shrugged at it one player in Cleveland took offense to the statement. Cavs guard Dion Waiters once he heard Beal's assertion said " That's nonsense." Of course, the next day at the start of Wizards training camp, we were there to see what Wall or Beal had to say regarding Waiters comment and Wall took care of all that in one straight to the point reply as you can see below.......
Safe to say there will be extra intensity between the Wizards and Cavs in their November 21st meeting.
Stay Tune.........
